On March 25, Valerie Bush of Milton, Ont., received a $500 Yummy Market gift card from Alexei Tsvetkov, Yummy Market CEO, at the newly opened store at 1390 Major Mackenzie Dr. W. in Maple, Ont. The Yummy Market CityTV promotion was held as part of the Maple store’s Grand Opening celebrations. From February 13 to March 1, 2013, people could enter a no-purchase-required, open-to-all-Canadians draw for a chance to win a $500 Yummy Market shopping spree.

March 2, 2013, marked the start of a new chapter in the European supermarket’s history with the opening of a new, rebranded 50,000-square-foot location in Maple. The architecture of the store features images of European landmarks, curved bulkheads and open market areas. The store launch included a live band, ice sculptures, children’s entertainment and a ceremonial ribbon cutting by Mayor Maurizio Bevilacqua and other elected officials from the city of Vaughan.

“We are committed to delivering a shopping experience unlike any other in the GTA,” said Yummy Market CEO Alexei Tsvetkov. The result of this commitment is evident in a broad selection of gourmet European foods, including hot prepared meals as well as fresh-baked breads, buns, cakes and pastries. The Chefs at Yummy Market are trained in traditional European kitchens, ensuring the authenticity of recipes and the richness of flavour.
